Your Apply Three Project #2 will focus on how you have been growing your food/herb plant how it relates to personal, professional, and world examples, and applying at least 3 concepts from the past 3 weeks' themes in your analysis.

Your Apply Three Project #2 will focus on how you have been growing your food/herb plant how it relates to personal, professional, and world examples, and applying at least 3 concepts from the past 3 weeks' themes in your analysis. Step 1: Compile all the pictures you took of your herb plant (at least one every 1-2 weeks, some of you posted this on our Canvas discussion board). Have at least 3 pictures for the three different stages of your plant, for example a picture of when you first planted it (picture 1), a picture of when it first sprouted/germination (picture 2), and a picture of it currently (picture 3) Step 2: For picture 1 describe your personal experience of planting your seed and other experiences/reflections that came up for you when you did this activity. For picture 2 describe a professional application of this stage of growing your plant, this can be something you connect from another class you have taken or a reading/reference. Remember to cite properly. For picture 3 describe a worldly connection to your plant, this can be something happening in the world news (remember to cite properly) that is related to your plant or your relationship with your plant, or about a bigger social issue that connects with your plant. Step 3: Review the lecture slides and reading assignments from the past 3 weeks themes (see below) and choose at least 3 concepts from the lecture slides or readings assignments which you can incorporate in your analysis in Step 2 (applying it in a personal, professional, worldly examples). Provide the operational definition of each concept and cite your source of the definition using an academic citation format (MLA, APA, Chicago Manual Style, etc.). Concepts are NOT the same as our weekly themes (i.e. Food as Identity and Cultural Memory), I suggest reviewing our lecture slides/readings/podcasts to look for specific terminologies/concepts that have a distinct definition to use for your Apply Three project as opposed to trying to discuss/define a general theme. For the themes from the lecture slides use the following topics and relate it to the plant (follow instructions above) Food as socio-economic, food gender and sexuality, and food consumption/food trends.
